We absolutely love this game. One of our new favorites. It is a fun and beautiful board game. This is a great family and friends worker placement game. We have enjoyed our plays and have had a blast with this game. I am looking forward to many more plays. Highly recommend checking this one out.

This game is fun. Go and get it!
One Board FamilyHuge Fan of Cryptid Cafe! Easy to play with the whole family. It took me a little bit to get the hang of the rules but once I did it got really competitive and hours flew by. I would recommend this game to anyone.

OVERVIEW
The game’s goal is to complete as many customer orders as possible and earn the most tips by the end of the night. Sound simple? With each passing round, your unserved customers will get frustrated waiting for their food and become unhappy with your service; in turn, they’ll give you smaller tips when you serve them. If you continue to ignore your customers, they will walk out of the cafe, and at end of the game, you’ll have to give some of your tips to the owner. If that wasn’t enough, you’ll be competing against other players for those much-needed menu items.
With a smidge of strategy, a dash of tactics, and a pinch of luck, you could be crowned the most legendary server!

RULEBOOK CLARIFICATIONS AND FAQS
"Players should note that you cannot place a server at a station where you already have a server."
Rulebook Pg. 5
"In the rare case that a player cannot legally place a server at a location, that player may choose one food token from a type that is not blocked by an event card, nor is a location where they currently have placed a server."
Rulebook Pg. 5
No.
No. "...you can only move your server up in line if there is another server in front of you..."
Rulebook Pg. 6
If you are in the one spot and another player is in the two spot you can either share one tip with the chef to move to the two spot and push the other player back to the one spot OR you can share two tips with the chef and jump over the other player. The other player is not pushed back in that case.
For clarity, if all three spots at a food station are full and the player last in line (in this case the 1 spot) wants to move to the three spot. They would pay the chef two tips, move to the three spot, pushing the current player in the three spot to the two spot, which would then push the player in the two spot down to the one spot.
Simplified
- land on another server = push them back
- land on an empty spot = other servers are jumped and do not get pushed.
"Servers who are moved to the back of the line do not get the opportunity to change positions." Each station is resolved only once per round.
Rulebook Pg. 6
Yes, that is correct.
No. "...you can only move your server up in line at one station per round, even if your servers are last in line at multiple food stations."
Rulebook Pg. 6
